The Eerik Kumari Award (EstonianEerik Kumari looduskaitsepreemia ) is a prestigious annual award given to those who have excelled in bioscience in Estonia since 1989. 

Every year the Ministry of Environment recognizes also persons and organisations for the contribution into the nature conservation and dissemination activities by assignment Nature conservation silver medals. 

Activities and work of Meelis Tambets and Jaak Tambets (1963-2013) were recognized with the silver medal in 2014!

WILDLIFE ESTONIA
NGO Wildlife Estonia is established in 2000. Our aim is to protect rivers and other aquatic habitats. We care about the nature, biodiversity and fish in particular.

HABITATS
Springs, rivers and lakes are our common treasure. The more natural status they have the more precious they are. 

COMPETENCE
Successful application and implementation of river restoration and fish population status improvement projects. Scientific ichthyology studies with traditional and modern bio-telemetric methods.
