First meeting of steering group

The steering group of the project is formed and first meeting is held. The representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Environment Investment Centre, State Forest Management Centre, Estonian Environment Agency, Environmental Board, Tartu University, Laeva Parish and Nature conservation association Kotkas are interested in the smoth running of the project and spreading of the information. First meeting it took place in Kärevere, where the people visited the project area and the River Laeva. The meeting continued in Palupõhja Nature School, where the details of the project were discussed and the action plan approved.

WILDLIFE ESTONIA
NGO Wildlife Estonia is established in 2000. Our aim is to protect rivers and other aquatic habitats. We care about the nature, biodiversity and fish in particular.

HABITATS
Springs, rivers and lakes are our common treasure. The more natural status they have the more precious they are. 

COMPETENCE
Successful application and implementation of river restoration and fish population status improvement projects. Scientific ichthyology studies with traditional and modern bio-telemetric methods.
