An important activity in the project is the strengthening of the populations of asp in Põltsamaa, Pärnu, and Kasari rivers. To do this, we stock these rivers with juveniles for a longer period. The production of stocking material takes place at the Haaslava fish farm, which has the necessary conditions and also the corresponding competence. In order to be sure of meeting the set goals, we started with the propagation of the asp already in the first spring, and luckily we were immediately successful! We succeeded in collecting breeding fish, the incubation also started in the fish farm, and the first batch of larvae hatched. Today, the fry has been released to grow in a large pond.
