First oxbow lakes re-opened

The first results of  conservation action C1 are achieved. In 2010, august-october our subcontractor K&H has removed the sediments from the first two oxbow lakes- the Pudru and Vőllinge rivers. The work was done professionally and with high respect to the nature. All parts- local people, stackholders, environmental board, fishermen are happy!
The first monitoring results are showing the positive impact of the deepening both on catch and species abundance.
We are looking forward with the great interest to the season 2011, when we are planning to re-open rest of the 10 meanders.
